On brand new single ‘Vice’, the Los Angeles-based duo RKCB hit the ground running with bombastic brass hooks, shiny, intermittent synths and acoustic beats that are impossible not to move to. Compared to tracks like ‘Elevated’, an elastic R&B endeavour, this latest creation arguably veers into pop territory more than anything else, but with really good alt-pop melodies, loads of synths and a dance feel. What has remained constant are those soulful vocals and sultry vibe that Riley Knapp and Casey Barth always manage to bring to the party. This is now RKCB’s third release in two months, so we’re pretty hopeful that the pair are building up momentum to something mega. - HT
